John Nielsen for Redmond City Council
Thank you for visiting my website. I plan to use this forum for two things:
1. I will put out my thoughts on issues facing Redmond
2. I will shamelessly brag about my kids
It is easy to understand why some have lost faith in government. People watch the news and listen to talking heads and no longer believe it can be a force for good. We can and must do better.
I see too many people making politics a blood sport, making a leadership a zero sum game. They think it is not enough to win; you have to cast the other person as a villain. This kind of tribal and cynical politicking is beneath us. We all deserve better, and I am standing in the middle to say:
"enough, we need real Results for Redmond."
I know that if good people from all sides work together, we can make a stronger Redmond and a better community. I am running for City Council because I want to encourage a more open, responsible and transparent government; one free from petty squabbles, conflicts of interest and nepotism. I promise to listen to all sides and work with anyone open to working for our neighbors.
Only by working together can we achieve
real Results for Redmond.
